Lighthouse Receives Target Field Trip Grant

Lighthouse recently received a $700 grant from Target that will enable us to give our students a comprehensive educational opportunity. First, students will travel to a very special Smithsonian exhibit called "Dig It! Secrets of Soil" at the MAC in Spokane! Students will learn all about the important part soil plays in the earth's ecosystem. In addition to the field trip, the funds will enable students to build worm farms to enrich a raised planting bed they will help build. As part of their Idaho unit, students will be able to plant native Idaho species in the planting bed. Woo hoo!  Watch the school newsletter and calendar for field trip dates. Asante Children's Choir Visits LCA!

We were blessed beyond measure by the Asante Children’s Choir on Tuesday. This beautiful, amazing team of children performed for our chapel time. Every person who attended received an enormous blessing as we couldn’t help but see the love of Jesus in each one of the choir. We encourage all of our families to consider sponsoring a child through Africa Mission Alliance, the parent organization of Asante Children’s Choir. Sponsoring a child makes an eternal difference in their lives and the need is desperate. They also accept donations of any amount.
